Roll-Off Dumpster Rental across Lackawanna County
Every job we do is a roll-off: a large, rectangular, open-top container delivered by a specialized truck that lets it roll off directly onto your driveway or job site. It is built for temporary, one-time projects such as renovations, demolition or major cleanouts, it takes bulky material such as furniture, drywall and debris, and it comes in five sizes from 10 to 40 yards. One delivery, one container and one pickup instead of repeated trips. This page is about the box itself: the sizes, the weight, the space it needs and what the price covers.
The yard is at 1777 N Keyser Ave, Scranton, PA 18508 - inside the City of Scranton, in North Scranton. Approx. road miles from the yard: Scranton and Dickson City 3, Taylor 4, Dunmore, Throop and Clarks Summit 5, Blakely 6, Old Forge 7, Archbald and Dalton 9, Jermyn 10, Olyphant, Mayfield and Moosic 11, Jessup 12, Carbondale 13 and Moscow 14.

How a roll-off works
The truck backs in and sets the container on the spot you agreed. You load it over the open top at your own pace, spreading the weight evenly and keeping debris below the top rim - an overfilled dumpster cannot be transported safely. When you are done, call or text; we schedule the pickup promptly and handle the disposal. On the road, Pennsylvania law says every load of loose waste or rubbish travels "in a vehicle with four solid sides and with a cover or top of a type to prevent any of the load from escaping", and "The load shall be no higher than the solid sides of the vehicle" (75 Pa.C.S. § 4903(c.1)).
Space is the thing to check before you book: at least 60 feet of clear space for the truck, 25 feet of overhead clearance from trees and power lines, and a flat, stable surface such as a driveway or pavement. Move vehicles and obstacles before delivery, and if you will not be home, mark the spot. Our experienced drivers place each dumpster for safe loading.
What the flat rate includes
Our flat rate covers delivery, pickup, disposal up to the included weight and the standard rental period of up to 7 days - about 1 to 2 tons on a 10 yard, up to 5 to 6 on a 40. Dumpster rentals here typically run $350 to $750, depending on the dumpster size, the type of debris, the delivery location and the rental duration, which is why we quote each job rather than publish a price list. Two things can add to it: going over the included weight, where the extra weight is billed at a clear rate set before delivery, and keeping the container past the rental period, which carries an additional daily fee. Extra pickups or swaps are quoted too. There are no hidden fees. Call (570) 354-0618 for a quote.

Roll-off rental around Scranton - the rules on the road
Loads go to local disposal and recycling facilities in the Scranton area, and materials such as metal, concrete and yard waste are recycled whenever possible. The rules set the rest. Pennsylvania's Waste Transportation Safety Act (Act 90 of 2002) requires waste transportation vehicles - trucks with a registered gross vehicle weight over 17,000 lbs - hauling municipal or residual waste to Pennsylvania processing or disposal facilities to carry a valid DEP Waste Transporter Authorization, with authorization stickers on the truck (27 Pa.C.S. § 6204), and no facility may accept waste from a truck "without a current authorization sticker" (§ 6206(a)). The same act says "no county and no municipality may implement a municipal waste or residual waste transportation authorization or licensing program" after it took effect in 2002 (§ 6203(c)). Local collection and street rules are set place by place, and each town page states them. Pennsylvania's Covered Device Recycling Act bans throwing out a covered device - "desktop and laptop computers, computer monitors, computer peripherals, and televisions" - with municipal waste, and DEP says licensed waste haulers "may not knowingly commingle covered devices with waste destined for disposal". The public options are built for household trash, not a job's debris. Scranton's DPW says it picks up household garbage first and larger items "if we have room in the truck", and we found no City drop-off for construction or bulk waste. Dunmore's DPW does not pick up construction debris and its 2026 calendar says clean-outs will not be accepted; Old Forge's curbside service does not take construction material; Dickson City's schedule says no construction materials, and its spring cleanup is one pickup per house; and Mayfield's garbage contract leaves out construction and demolition waste. Our what can and cannot go in guide says where the rest goes.

What is a roll-off dumpster?
A large, rectangular, open-top container delivered by a specialized truck that lets it roll off directly onto your driveway or job site. It is built for temporary projects such as renovations, demolition or major cleanouts, and is picked up the same way when you are done.
How full can I load it?
All debris must stay below the top rim. An overfilled dumpster cannot be safely transported and may need adjusting before pickup. If you need more space, call and we arrange a swap or another container.
Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?
No. As long as we have clear instructions on where to place the dumpster, you do not need to be there. Just make sure the drop-off area is accessible and free of vehicles or obstacles.
How quickly can you deliver?
Same-day or next-day in many areas throughout Scranton and Lackawanna County, depending on availability. Call early in the day for the best chance of same-day service.
Can I not just put it out for the trash pickup?
For a few bags, sometimes. The public pickups are built for household trash: Scranton's DPW picks up larger items only if there is room on the truck, Dunmore does not take construction debris or clean-outs, and Old Forge's curbside service does not take construction material. A roll-off is the option when the job is more than the curb can take.
What does a roll-off cost around Scranton?
Dumpster rentals here typically run $350 to $750, depending on the dumpster size, the type of debris, the delivery location and the rental duration. The quote is flat-rate, including delivery, pickup and disposal, with no hidden fees. Call (570) 354-0618 with the address and what is going in, and you will have one clear price before delivery.
